Ametto makes all of our first entry level instruments. They do this at very low price points. We carry them because they are the best avialable for the money.
The instruments made at the shop of H. Luger offer the lowest price points available today for instruments of acceptable quality. They are not objects that are shaped like violins, but instead are true instruments that enable student level players to have a great first experience with their instruments. The higher level CV300 violins and C600 cellos are great step up instruments that offer good flaming, hand carved tone woods with real ebony fingerboards and pegs. The VB100 bass is extraordinary instrument and is not limited to student players. It has a laminated bass with great looks and a solid booming sound; all at an incredible price. The H. Luger shop has recently added a C600S cello and a very beautiful VB850 bass to their impressive and affordable line of instruments.

The shop of KCC is very traditional and offers a truly exciting range of quality European hand-crafted instruments made in the old-world style of violin making. This shop offers something for everyone. From excellent quality student instruments through the professional models, each instrument is meticulously handmade with the fine attention to detail that is usually reserved for instruments at much higher price points. Exceptional hand work, finely cut scrolls and very clean artistic corners, buttons and purfling are evident throughout. All their Instruments are made from quality European well-aged, loft seasoned spruce and maple. German ebony fittings and accessories are used to ensure many years of trouble free playing and enjoyment. These instruments are expertly graduated in order to give them a full warm-bodied sound that will continue to improve and broaden with age.
The shop of Nicolas Parola is incredible. At a time where everyone else in China seems to be in competition to be the biggest and offer the widest range of mediocre instruments, Nicolas Parola is a standout exception. We visited over a hundred shops in China over a three year period and finally found one we can work with. They are focused on perfecting their craft and offering the very best quality hand-crafted instruments at price points that easily demonstrate value. Stefan Petrov offers both a Superior and Standard model of his violins. Finest selection of tone wood is matched with more time and attention to the hand graduation to make the Superior model. Both the Standard and Superior are made with quality materials that have been well-aged with special consideration given to density and intrinsic tonal qualities. Workshop and Standard Stefan Petrov instruments are now made in his shop in China.

The philosophy of the Rudolph Fiedler shop is perfection. They create exciting new instruments that connect with those of the past through the use of modern day technology. Their investment in state of the art design enables this shop to make extremely accurate copies of historic instruments by many of the best known 17th, 18th and 19th century makers. This gives the modern player the best of both the old and new. All Rudolph Fielder instruments are made in the Czech Republic.
Chinese violin making has been passed on since the Qing Dynasty. From the beginning of the 1920s, world-famous violinists have performed in China and inspired many music-loving youth to learn violin. Many high-level violinist have come to work in China, and the number of China’s own teachers and performers have grown substantially, such as Ma got, Liu Tianhua, and Liguo Quan Xian Xinghai.
